How to Install E3 FLASHER On Slim PS3

First, we need prepare following item:

One PS3 which can downgrade to 3.55

1: Remove the four hexagon nut under the cover of PS3 bottom.

2: take out nut on the HD, and get out hardisk .

3: Remove the seal, and take off all nuts

4: open Top cover

5: Take off the nuts beside power, and unplug power cable besides power, take out powe Module.

6: Remove the black nut on the right of 220V power cable and the nuts on the top of BD driver, please note the big and small size, especially the nut on driver is big, don’t mixed when re-install.

8: Unplug the front buttom board before take out BD driver. Please note only disconnect with console, no need take out, because there has cable link to mainboard.

9: Unplug antenna, and remove from mainboard track, no need disconnect metal of antenna, and unplug the front board together with cable.

10: You need take off four white nuts before take out mainboard.(white nut is fixed for HD)

E3 FLASHER provide soft board special for SLIM console, you can install faster with the testing point, no need any diagramme, and 100% safe without any problem.

Solder sequence Solder SBCE point first, and solder SBE to fix soft board. If you can watch all testing point in front it means correct location. And then solder VCC BVCC GND etc, please note those point need heat little more time because of mainboard technology. And then solder other point. Recommend solder posture :

By the way, to fix soft board, you can use double-side tape as picture showes, and stick on mainboard.

SLIM console remout tutorial Now we need connect mainboard which installed soft board well to console again.

1: We need remout metal shade to mainboard, please note soft board need place into HD warehouse.

2: Place mainboard into case, please note soft board need across HD warehouse of case first, to prevent damage soft board, and then place white and black nuts correctly, and install anternna correctly.

The buttom board need connect cable first, and don’t install on case because you need install drive first

3: Install power moduel, please install the two nut well and then install power cable

4: After close the top cover, you need install all nuts which at the bottom (not include nut on HD warehouse)

5: Install E3 flasher mainboard ,the mainboard placed in the special metal shade

Put it into HD warehouse , just like install HD

And then ducked the connector on soft board into mainboard socket, you can press from left to right with finger. You will hear clear sound from connector if you connect correctly.

Push mainboard into HD warehouse, becareful otherwise it will damage connector of SATA , or not connect corretly.

Then, install E3 FLASHER cover board into mainboard, don’t mistake the location.

If all is correct, you will see LED lighting after connect ps3 power (no need start PS3)

Finally, connect ESATA station, put original PS3 HD into esata station and setting buttom on COVER BOARD to PS3 MODE, OFW. the HD switching sequence is : turn off PS3-turn off esata station power-unplug PS3 power cable-place HD to esata station-plug ESATA cable to ps3- plug PS3 power cable-power on esata stationturn on ps3. If can turn on ps3 correctly, congratulate you are successful !

Q1: What’s the E3 flasher Limited?


The E3 Flasher Limited is an universal programmer for all NAND/NOR flash device. It support PS3 slim console better because E3 flasher limited has 16M NOR flash memory , and with soft board to connect SLIM console easier, and also this limited version include 8 accessory like ESATA STATION. Sure it also support NAND flash console&device .

Q2: How about installation for fat and slim ps3 console?

The limited version need solder 34 wires on NAND FLASH FAT CONSOLE, it need use E3 LINKER.

The limited version need solder some points on NOR FLASH SLIM CONSOLE, no need any wire.

Q3: How many Harddisk we need? What function with E3 Esata Station?

As fact, you no need any extra HD because you can take out ps3 internal HD and put into E3 esata station. It will play like internal HD. Every time if you change FW, you will be required fomat and upgrade. So if you want get more function like dual boot and fast switch FW function, you need prepare another HD for another FW, just like you will get 3.7HD for 3.7FW, 3.55HD for 3.55FW, all will be regards as internet HD. With E3 esata station, the internal HD size can be MAX to 2.5T, compatiable 2.5&3.5′ HD with MAX to 3G speed , and also works 4GB+ game well ,this means no need USB HD anymore.

Q4: If we will get problem with PSN if switch to 3.7?

Some guy say there has unique ID inside original PS3 NOR FLASH, so it will get problem if you choose another NOR FLASH memory. We don’t think so because you can keep original PS3 NOR FLASH with 3.7OFW, so even you connect to PSN, it will find you are original, change nothing! Sure you can keep 3.55CFW on E3 NOR FLASH.

Q5: Do we need any software and PC?

No, you no need install any software, no need any PC to operation. You get all function on E3 FLASHER itsself. just press key on E3 FLASHER COVER BOARD and wait few min or few second..

Q6: If PS3 upgrade to new firmware, does E3 FLASHER works again?

Q7: Which version PS3 can downgrade and dual boot?

We find all FAT console works , most slim console works even include some new slim console which come with 3.56+ original FW. We find 3000X version console can programme correctly but can’t downgrade and dual boot, we will do best to work it out and provide to all free.
