Search the internet to find and download Frash.deb. I believe these are currently located on GitHub, however they may be available on other servers around the web.
You must ensure you have file access capability on your iPad. If you have a Mac, you simply need to install Netatalk. If you are a Windows XP/Vista/7 user you will most likely need a bash shell program such as OpenSSH, in conjuction with WinSCP. Again do a quick Google search to find out more information regarding these methods. Keep in mind that you can erase or move system files if you have a jailbroke iPad (read: I can damage my device pretty easily if I don’t know what I’m doing) so be careful.
With your iPad connected to your Mac or PC, open Finder and goto /var/root/Media
Create a folder name “Cydia”
Create a sub-directory folder within “Cydia” and call this “AutoInstall”
Upload the Frash package that you downloaded in the first step, and restart your iPad

Treyarch has released a new Xbox 360 title update for Call of Duty: Black Ops to fix several issues with the multi-player portion of the game and add support for the upcoming “Rezurrection Map Pack” which is due tomorrow August 23.

Nearly a year ago, I interviewed Capcom and Ninja Theory after they revealed their re-imagination of Devil May Cry (aka DmC) at Tokyo Game Show 2010. The response to Dante’s makeover and new look to the universe was overwhelming, leaving fans to question what was next? I received word that Creative Director Tameem Antoniades would be at gamescom and wanted catch me up on DmC’s progress and indulge me in Dante’s new found love for aerial-combat. After being reunited with Tameem and DmC, it’s only left me crying for more.

First make sure you have the Infectus drivers installed, and you have already programmed your Infectus with PS3 DUAL NAND firmware (using Infectus software)
Second unpack the rar files provided. Locate the libusb folder and install the filter. In the popup box, select ‘Install Device Filter’, then find your Infectus device in the list and select it, then install.When done you can exit libusb.
This allows your Infectus with the included flasher applications Infectus NAND Flasher v.1.0.4.2, etc.
1. When making your first dump, make 100% sure you have a good dump, make several to be safe and compare them with HxD. If you don’t have a good backup and erase your NANDs then you’re pretty much screwed… THIS IS IMPORTANT!
2. Once you have your NAND flash dumps, use FlowRebuilder v.4.1.3.2 unscramble then interleave flashes into one unified dump. Let’s call the output file 256Mb.bin
3. Open 256Mb.bin with HxD (Included in rar files)
3a. Go to offset: 000C0020 (Ctrl+G) which should look something like this
Go back to your NAND dump and go Edit – Select Block
In the box that pops up, tick the length button to enable the text and enter DFFFE1 as block length. Then go Edit – Paste Write (not insert!)
This next step is optional, I would suggest trying without this patch first as I did have success without it. 1patchcos.bin is based on 3.41 CoreOS, and 1patchcos355.bin is based on 3.55 CoreOS. The second worked for me. The original 1patchcos.bin should work so try that first, in rare cases (like me & EiKii) it doesn’t then try 1patchcos355.bin.
3b. Now go to offset: 00093800 and you should find something like this:
Open 2patchtrvk.bin and copy all of its content and paste WRITE from the above offset
4. Save the changes – IF THE FILESIZE HAS CHANGED YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!
5. Again open FlowRebuilder v.4.1.3.2 and this time we want to Re-scramble the modified dump then de-interleave it into two new flashes. Choose your flash0.bin, flash1.bin and the 256Mb.bin you modified. When done it should say 42 or 43 blocks modified each NAND depends on if you only did one or both patches
Now you end up with 2 new files called flash0.bin.new.bin and flash1.bin.new.bin. You will also get A folder called ‘Differential Flashing’ which contain 2 txt files. These can GREATLY speed up the flashing/restoring process.
6. With Infectus NAND Flasher v.1.0.4.2, connect your programmer and select flash0. Select Difference Write, select your flash0.bin.new.bin as your input file, then select the flash0 difference file. This way you only have to flash 42-44 blocks instead of 2048! Untick the box Check ECC during DUMP and WRITE operations (slower but safer) before you hit go.
7. When done, power your console up. If you get YLOD then you should try the second patch as mentioned earlier. If all went well you should have a green light but black screen (might differ slightly, mine powered off after about 20/30 seconds) You MAY need to put your console into service mode at this point if you were brick-fixing (usual dongle method). The Lv2diag files are included.
8. Make a downgrade to your desired firmware – If your PS3 refuses to work with a particular PS3UPDAT.PUP, try again with a different one. I tried 3 times before mine would accept a firmware.
NOTES: if you are patching with 3.55cos you have to use the special 3.55 downgrade PUP, which means you will get 3.41 as min version. This can be changed with doing the “DOWNGRADE” Procedure again, choosing another firmware in service mode downgrade.
If you get YLOD after flashing, check your soldering & do a full dump & compare the NANDS. Even 1 write error will prevent your console from booting.
When attempting to do a downgrade, enter service mode before patching. It will make it easier even if you forgot its not a problem, you just need to enter service mode. (this is only possible when downgrading) BUT remember DO NOT ENTER SERVICE MODE ON v3.66 UNLESS YOU HAVE A HARDWARE FLASHER (INFECTUS, PROGSKEET, WILLEM, ETC)

On a less obviously related subject does anybody know how to go about measuring the passage of time with millisecond precision (or near enough to it for it to be usable when calculating the frame rate) when developing for PS3 with PSL1GHT?
What has changed:
You can save the game at any time and obviously also load that save.
The on screen text now scales so it no longer fills an overly large portion of the screen at low resolution.
In addition to your gun you now have a rocket launcher.
Rockets explode when they are shot, hit a person or hit a wall.
Explosions destroy walls, push people back and hurt people.
You can now run which consumes energy.
Shooting momentarily prevents energy from regenerating.
If you try to consume energy when you have none left then you will instead lose health.
The speed that your health regenerates at directly correlates to how much energy you have.
The screen (specifically the edges of it) turn red when you are low on health.
The world is more densely populated.

How To Downgrade/flash Your Ps3 From Firmware 3.70 To 3.55 Via Progskeet/teensy++ And Install 3.55 Kmeaw Cfw

This tutorial is long, but it is more detailed than complicated, making sure your bases are all covered.
All file downloads are either Multiupload or Mediafire.
STEP 1 – Preparation
A PS3 (phat or slim) running PS3 original firmware 3.70 and has NOR memory, not NAND, and has ProgSkeet/Teensy++/Clone installed (click here to check if your console has NAND or NOR) – Note: This guide covers ProgSkeet install.
If your a noob (and I assume most of you are), it may be a good idea to have some what of a idea on what NAND/NOR is. It is basically the PS3 flash memory. If you want to get a better understanding of the PS3 system and its various components, you should check this out.

The PS3 has 256 megabytes of flash memory to store firmware, using two NAND 128MB Samsung flash chips. The installed firmware data is interleaved between the two flash chips for speed. To prevent errors, Error Correcting Code Checksum (ECC) is added/used on the data in the PS3 flash chips. In newer PS3, a single 16MB Spansion flash chip is used.
Because of the smaller flash chips in later versions, newer firmware versions allow for the firmware data to be partially stored on the harddrive (instead of totally inside the flash), making the flash purely responsible for holding data involved in the critical booting up process. This allows for cheaper flash chips, while using the harddrive for later bootup stages.
To summarize now we are going to be downgrading a PS3 via NOR flasher, so the PS3 MUST have NOR memory most PS3 units have NOR now, the stock/initial PS3s (phat) that were released had NAND, there is a chart linked above so you can make sure. As of now, all SLIMs have NOR memory so your good to go.
STEP 3 – Installing ProgSkeet
First thing is first you have to install ProgSkeet. You can install Teensy++ board as well, or any other ProgSkeet clone but I don’t know how they work and I assume you need to substitute the tools/files for Teensy++.
So there are plenty of good threads to first checkout related to ProgSkeet, for starters this is what ProgSkeet is:

Make sure your PS3 first has NOR memory, all SLIM PS3′s do, the older “phat” PS3 have NAND. Check if your console has NOR memory here.

Gather soldering tools, resin, and wire. Recommended gauge for wires: 24 (anything from 20-26 AWG is fine). Keep them at ~20cm each. – Note: 40/80 wire Floppy cables won’t work, to see a full list of compatible wires see this table.

STEP 4 – The NOR Dumping

Now the actual work begins and the part you all have been waiting for, the NOR dumping!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Install Windows XP on your computer. Windows 7 and Windows XP SP3 have reported many issues.
Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) [Download Here]
Restart your computer.
Launch the ProgSkeet Dumper
Plug in your ProgSkeet and wait for for the jingle/beep
Insert the following values for the NOR: if you have a SPANSION branded flash memory on your PS3 then: NOR Sector Size = 128kb / NOR Sectors = 128. If you have a SAMSUNG branded flash memory on your PS3 then NOR Sector Size = 4kb / NOR Sectors = 4096.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
8.After getting the correct values inserted, select output and then press DUMP, and you should have the exact dump generated as seen in Part B.
Part B
1.Dump the NOR from your PS3 with the ProgSkeet/Teensy++ it should be exactly 16,777,216 bytes. If it is not, go back to part A, and keep re-dumping until it is. Make sure its down to the byte.

2.Next open up Transplante.exe, in “donador” select your nor-dump.bin.REV and for “receptor” select downgrade.bin and click GO.

3.Now that your downgrade.bin is successfully hexed open Flow Rebuilder back up. Select “Byte reverse and extract a NOR Dump” and drag downgrade.bin to the bottom option and click “Execute Operation”.

4.You will now be presented with an error, this is normal. All you are interested in is the file generated: “downgrade.bin.REV” -> This file will be flashed onto your PS3
Step 5: Flashing your PS3
Now comes the last, and actual flashing part. Make sure you follow all the instructions above to the letter, and if you have any issues report them before continuing.

If you flashed your PS3 correctly, your PS3 will reboot and show this message: “Push PS button”. DO NOT PRESS THE PS BUTTON!
Turn off the PS3 console as we will now place it in Factory/Service mode.
Copy these files to the ROOT (not subforulder!) of USB Mass Storage Device-: **WARNING: Make sure that this is a USB stick formatted to FAT 32. DO NOT use your MP3 player, phone, or anything except a USB stick as the timings are crucial for the downgrading process! If your having issues, we recommend you reformat your pen drive/usb drive with THIS tool.
Now turn on your PS3 and leave it alone, the PS3 should turn off by itself in 10-15mins.
Unplug your USB from the PS3, and turn the console back on. It should boot to the XMB menu, once it does this turn your PS3 off again.
Now copy and replace this file on your USB: Modded LV2Diag[Download Here]
Insert once again to the right most USB port on your PS3
Turn on your PS3, it should turn off by itself in about ~20 seconds.
You have now successfully downgraded, and installed 3.55 KMEAW CFW on your PS3!!

Those USB Mass Storage Devices are most likely also the ones giving you the least problems under more exotic platforms like PSX/PSone, PS2/PStwo, Xbox/X360, Gamecube/Wii etc.
Error: libusb0.dll or libusb0.sys not found
The libusb-win32 Kernel Driver needed for the the flasher to get access to the USB port was not installed. Make sure you unpacked the drivers_xxxxxx file and installed the Progskeet driver (VendorID:1988 / ProductID:0001 in case you need it).
Error: side-by-side configuration is incorrect SelectHide
In case of “the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect” make sure Microsoft Visual C 9.0 runtime is installed and “Windows Installer” is not disabled (set to manual or automatic) in Services.msc.
